In our test environment here, we have a mixture of 32-bit and 64-bit
systems and
EVMS and Heartbeat work beautifully on them.

You should not have any problems with EVMS when you switch from a
32-bit
platform to a 64-bit platform.  Many of our customers run on 64-bit
systems
and they have not reported any 64-bit problems for a long time now.
