The clock_t wrapping around is a REALLY wrong... Looking at the logs in detail it doesn't seem to be happening to more than once to a given process. If the machine is running an HZ value of 1000, then this shouldn't happen unless the machine has been up for 49 days, or 497 days with the more normal value of 100 for HZ.

What kernel version are you running here?

The boxes are running a vanilla 2.6.15.6 with drbd support loaded as module.

After some thinking and looking at the log files it seems that this effect occurs for the first time after updating heartbeat from 2.0.2-something to 2.0.3-9 by regulary "yum update". Installed versions are now:

heartbeat-stonith-2.0.2-1
heartbeat-pils-2.0.2-1
heartbeat-2.0.3-9.fc4
heartbeat-ldirectord-2.0.2-1
