I don't think it needs to be a dual goal. If we can get the specfile
done right, it should also work for Alan - because in that case, it
won't matter whether it is used because of "./ConfigureMe package" or
because the specfile itself is used to drive the build process.
ConfigureMe would probably, for building the RPM package, be modified to
drive it via the specfile. Or so is the goal. Mine at least.
But then, even if Alan doesn't want that part of the build process to
change, I'll pursue this for my own interest at the openSUSE build
service, because I'd like to know what a specfile capable of building
for all those different distributions will look like, and how to
accomodate for the various different build requirements...
