True, doing it in the shell script isn't perfect.

The patch makes sense (though I'd like a commandline option to be able
to skip the query-before-update logic) for the current state of art, I
guess.

But, I'd still prefer Andrew's version of fixing it in the CIB, which
would be even more efficient. As long as we can get that done before the
next release, we should be fine and don't really have to rush it.
