Joerg: I've just done a quick Google search (valgrind solaris) and found: http://madpenguin.org/cms/?m=show&id=3542&page=2 giving someone's experience of Solaris 10. About half way down is a description of "libumem" and "mdb", resident within S10. There is also a discussion about valgind and of mdb+umem on the opensolaris discussions: http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=32645 I've not tried this at all.
