Hi,
in preparation for 3.0.0, which is bound to happen eventually when it is
ready, I am happy to announce 2.99.1 as a _beta_ version.
2.99.1 does not introduce major changes over 2.99.0 (which included the
major restructuring), but bugfixes to resource agents and fencing in
particular.
- RA: vmware: New agent added.
- RA: Filesystem: OCFS2 extensions removed, no longer needed for new
Pacemaker + OCFS2 code base.
- RA: mysql: Fix typo.
- RA: apache: envfiles attribute to source extra environment (e.g.
envars).
- RA: LVM: stop correctly in case vol group does not exist.
- RA: ldirectord: add option for executing command on fallback.
- RA: ldirectord: Add web proxy health checking to ldirectord.
- dopd: hostnames should be case insensitive.
- STONITH: SBD for shared storage fencing merged (includes fix for
LF#1961).
- STONITH: external/riloe: many fixes for HP iLO.
- heartbeat: close watchdog files properly.
- heartbeat: new IPv6 ping plugin (ping6).
- Compile fixes for Debian and Ubuntu.
- Remove cl_malloc.h; always use libc malloc() et al now.
- Due to cl_malloc changes, update clplumbing so major.
- Remove snmp_subagent.
Just to remind you:
- 2.99.x removes code now maintained outside heartbeat such as the CRM
(now Pacemaker), thus everything which depends on it as well. It
removes some dead code. 2.99.0 should retain all v1 functionality,
but that code is depreciated and not maintained!
- 2.99.x restructures the package layout. We reserve the right to
restructure it some more before the official 3.0.0 release.
- If you want to run 2.99.x in a Pacemaker ("crm yes") environment, you
will need to install Pacemaker. This is the recommended approach.
