Hello,

The current repository of Resource Agents has been tagged to
agents-1.0.4 today. This is a stable release, containing bug
fixes, improvements, new agents, and new features in existing
agents. The HTML man pages at http://www.linux-ha.org will be
updated within 24 hours.

All Pacemaker users should upgrade. As always, it is strongly
recommended to install the release on a test cluster first.

Packagers should read important notice at the end of this
announcements.

Some major additions and improvements:

- conntrackd, exportfs, nginx, fio: new agents
- mysql: master-slave functionality and replication monitoring
- db2: support for db2 v9 and multiple partitions
- SAPDatabase,SAPInstance: many fixes and improvements
- tomcat: support for multiple instances and improved stop operation

Full list of changes is in the ChangeLog file.

Four contributions (db2 rewrite and hadr support, dovecot RA,
slapd RA, and IPaddr2 monitoring improvements) did not make it
for various reasons, including lack of time too. There could be
more that we missed and if so, please complain.

The next release is going to happen soon, hopefully in not more
than two months. In the meantime, we will continue our discussion
at the linux-ha-dev ML. The next release will, I hope, come out
from improved project and under more favourable circumstances.

Many thanks to everybody who helped with this release, in
particular to numerous contributors. Without you the release
would certainly not be possible.

Important note for packagers and distributors:

ocf-shellfuncs and other common support scripts lost the leading
dot and moved to a new directory ($OCF_ROOT/lib/heartbeat). There
should be symbolic links created for old script names and
locations so that 3rd party resource agents keep running.
Further, the three and a half years old compatibility scripts
in /usr/lib/heartbeat have finally been retired. All these
changes are spelled out in our rpm spec file patch at
http://hg.linux-ha.org/agents/diff/87a371f5e02c/resource-agents.spec

Cheers,

Florian, Lars, Dejan
