It doesn't AFAIK. But it keeps the LRM part (status) smaller at
times. And prevents polution in case the resource is removed. Note
that removing a resource from the configuration part doesn't do
the same for the status section. Now, I guess that in some cases,
but I can't recall any right now, it would be important to keep
the LRM records. Andrew?
