Hi Andrew, hi all,

I just followed the thread about resource failover because I do have
difficulties
to understand every aspect even after reading he available doc and the answers
to related questions on the list.

Even if Maxim starts to document this stuff as the new volunteer ;-) it would be
great to have a tool that shows the current score of a resource at a certain
or all available nodes. In my case it would help me to understand how the
calculation is done, how I have to set the values to achieve what I want to,
help to understand why a certain resource stays where it is (even if I don't
want it :-))
and it would help to create a tutorial with valuable examples.

So, is there a tool to read the current scores of resources?
If no, would it be much work to create? In my opinion it would be a helpful tool
to understand the core mechanism of HAv2.

As far as I understood (that doesn't mean anything ;-)) there is a persistent
part
of a nodes's cib and a transient part which can be queried by cib_admin.
Why can't I see the scores at a resource which led to the current location of
that
resource. Wouldn't it be a consistent way to provide this information?

Just a suggestion of a NOVICE as categorized in

Best regards
Andreas Mock
