Hello Michael,

I wonder if you can help with the linux-ha snmp monitoring.

I've installed 2.0.7 -> 2.1.2 on debian (etch and sarge). All have the LINUX-HA.mib and hbagent. I've followed the manual and added the master agentx and trap etc details but snmpwalk fails with:

LinuxHA: Unknown Object Identifier (Sub-id not found: (top) -> LinuxHA)

mbrowse etc all work fine and show the contents of the mib. Any ideas as to what I'm missing ?

Many thanks for any pointers.

Pete

It seems the hbagent is not included on the packages from Build Service...

Build Service? By OpenSuSE?

Search for a program called hbagen in your installation path. If it is not
included:

- Compile it yourself with --enable-snmp or
- Talk to the guys responsible for the Build Service.

I know that the subagent is included in the debian unstable distribution, heartbeat version 2.1.1. And is works in my test lab. I do not (yet) have a
production environment.

Activation of the subagent: Call the program. Perhaps you can do this by the
respawn config in ha.conf.
