Hi all,

I'm back from vacation ;-)

I currently work on a manual "Dive into Linux HA 2" (or "An Introduction to
Linux HA 2" - not sure about the title yet).

Intention: shows how to work with heartbeat from command line by examples; all
heartbeat concepts are shown with reproducible examples using Dummy and Delay
resource agent - no special hardware is needed.

What it does not contain: how to design a cluster; working with the GUI (which
is IMHO not ready to use for production); real life cluster examples;

Taret Group: newbies/novice/journeyman sysadmins

Language: english

Heartbeat Release: as of version 2.1.0 and upwards (with some references back
to older versions like 2.0.8 - where they behave differently)

Source Format: DocBook (I still struggle with layouts etc.)

Current State: a PDF version is currently 30 pages long containing 20% of the
content I would like to put in ---> I intended to write an article but it
starts to become a book.

Time Schedule: since my GF is on vacation (and thus I can fully work on it
during my free time) I hope I get a first draft version ready for revision by
mid/end September

Problem: I need an OK from by Boss that I can release the document under a
free License (I spoke with him today and it seems there should not be a
problem) - I created the document in my free time but the knowledge I got
mainly during work time.

Main Problem:
* someone from the developers has to review it because I would not like to
give out false information
* english is not my first languge (actually I never had it in school) - I need
people who review the document
* if someone worked with DocBook I would be glad for help with Stylsheets for
PDF and HTML versions of the doucment

If enough people are intersted to help out I could setup a mercurial repo (I
have no server but I'm sure we will find one) for sharing the document -
(after I cleared the License issues).

kind regards Max
