just set up HB2 to use
live migrations
Despite of your patch: Could you please show how to do this?
Sure. Just set up a Xen resource with hb_gui - the only parameter you
add is the xm-file - which needs to in sync across all your servers.
Then add to cib.xml the following for each vm:
<meta_attributes id="vm0_Migrate">
<attributes>
<nvpair id="vm0_Migrate_attr" name="allow_migrate"
value="true"/>
</attributes>
</meta_attributes>
My resource is here named vm0. The whole resource now looks like this:
<primitive class="ocf" type="Xen" provider="heartbeat" id="vm0">
<instance_attributes id="vm0_instance_attrs">
<attributes>
<nvpair id="vm0_target_role" name="target_role"
value="started"/>
<nvpair id="2cb0fcf6-e893-4f86-87b4-ef8c0cc4ad78"
name="xmfile" value="/etc/xen/vm0"/>
</attributes>
</instance_attributes>
<operations/>
<meta_attributes id="vm0_Migrate">
<attributes>
<nvpair id="vm0_Migrate_attr" name="allow_migrate"
value="true"/>
</attributes>
</meta_attributes>
</primitive>
Apply my patch to the Resource Agent and it should be good as gold. I've
been running some testing and it seems to be quite stable.
