Hi,

ok i think i got it.

with stonith 1 i fave to use the devicetype externel and use the
paramoption to give stonith the program i want tu run.

But there are some limits, First yuo are not able to define your one
parameter because stonith is not giving any commandline optione to
that script.
Also the status command always says ok. And gethosts ended with error.

So i think i have to live with this limits and look if i can switch ti
HA2, but it seems a litte bit complicatet and normally i have only two
nodes so ni was hoping HA1 will do it.
Well you can always run things in compatibility mode on v2, and you should be able to use external/your-plugin-name as your stonith device in ha.cf along with the parameters (i.e. hostlist for external/ssh). In my testing, I have a 2-node v1 cluster and run CTS on a 2-node v2 cluster with the same ha.cf and haresources and get identical results.

Of course, this will limit you to two nodes.

Hi,

I'm searching for some more infos about programing Plugins for stonith.
The only info i found ist this site: http://linux-ha.org/ExternalStonithPlugins

But there is no info how my plugin will be started.
v1 and v2 differ for this
in v2 you start it like any other resource
in v1 i think you set something up in ha.cf

http://www.linux-ha.org/ConfiguringStonithPlugins

how will be the
commandline Stonith will start my plugin?

I fond in the Manpage of Stonith that for example -S will give the
status of the Node, but have my plugin handle with -S or will the
stonith start my plugin with status(like required the Site required
externel stonith plugin options)? the same with -d for the options.
Or if i use both in which order it will my Plugin bestartet.

It would be nice if there are any RFC, Guidelines etc....

I'm Using HA1 Debian packet

Thanks
Mark

( I hope its not to confusing )
