there are three types of releases:
* daily builds done by lmb
  - built daily with whatever is in Hg at the time
  - receive no additional testing but include all known bugfixes
  - http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/lars/

* interim builds done by myself
  - built once a month (or so) at a point where the crm is in a stable state
  - undergo automated testing on at least two different clusters
  - http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:/ha-clustering/

* project builds done by alan
  - undergo automated testing on three/four different clusters
  - http://linux-ha.org/download/index.html

i can't comment for alan, but the new code will be in my 2.1.2-4
release when i put it out later this week (or next)

as mentioned elsewhere, incorporating some amount of testing into your
upgrade procedure is always a good idea

generally we try and avoid introducing incompatibilities between versions
