Hello Tony,

Re the Tomcat joy.. I'm not sure how much help this is but here are a few of the bits I've tripped over with ours. All is now working well using the details below and has been for the last 18 months...

I'm using the Tomcat jsvcd server daemon
I'm using Debian (so feel free to adjust if your system doesn't have the start-stop-daemon command, not essential, just useful !)

Caveats..

Check you permissions on both Server Tomcat directories ! This is a show stopper ! Ensure that that all are correctly owned and that the privilege dropped servers can write to the logs etc etc. This really really is important (stating obvious).

Check Disk space used is available to both servers and (if SAN fails with the service and starts up first !) Having a VIP is useful (again set up in a group with Tomcat and the disk space [where relevant])

The resource script I'm using is attached. If you do run into further problems feel free to amil and I'll help where I can

Good luck and it's worth the effort in the end :-)
