I've had similar struggles trying to bring a 2.0 cluster up. hb_gui seems to be pretty finicky about the cib.xml file format. I've found that I get better results if I completely delete cib.xml and cib.xml.* files on all nodes in the cluste and start over. In Ubuntu 7.10, these files are in /var/lib/heartbeat/crm >From my experience, if you want to use the gui, you're better off adding resources and editing settings from within the gui or they might not be recognized.
