Well - the iptables on that machine are empty, tcpdump on both
machines shows packets from both of them, even "netcat -u -p 695"
manages to show the packet's contents. Is there any other way to
verify the communications are open?

In case it matters - these are both Paravirtualized CentOS 5 domU's on
top of the same Dom0, so the network between them is virtual. I also
manage to scp and ping between them.

Also - how come the uuid for drbd02 is all-zero's on drbd01 but drbd02
have the right uuid of drbd01?

I'm beginning to suspect that maybe I lost the uuid of drbd02 during
my attempts and now drbd01 won't let it join. Is there a special
meaning for all-zero's uuid?

I might try to just purge everything, clear the /var directories and
start all over again.
