I have a linux failover solution with AIX 5.X clients. Aix says that it 
honors gratuitous ARP but when services (NFS, LDAP...) change from one 
linux server to the other my AIX clients freeze until I delete the entry 
in the arp table manualy (or the timeout is quite long!). I've tried to 
minimize the ARP cache timeout this week on the AIX clients from 20mn to 
2 mn for testing.
