I've got a 2-Node, single network connection using Heartbeat 1.x
configuration.
What I'd like to do is assure that a server will not go primary if network
connectivity and ping node connectivity goes down (e.g.by pulling the
network connection from the server).
In other words, if I yank the network cable from Server-A
1) Server-A will be backup
2) Server-B will be primary.
I'm thinking that this can be accomplished by writing a simple stonith
application that does nothing else but the following:
1) returns success if I have connectivity to the ping node.
2) returns failure in all other cases.
Has anyone else tried or see any problems with doing this?
Thanks!
