Hi all,
I didn't find a document specifying which
character encodings are valid for using with HAv2 (CRM).
E.g. when using xml-snippets to change the cib via
cibadmin.
Is there a rule how to create valid (processable) identifiers
for using in the cib? E.g. are german umlauts valid?
I don't think so.
We currently have a custom XML parser which I'm pretty sure is
strictly ASCII based.
But I've no objection to making it more flexible. Patches welcome :-)
Or perhaps switching to the parser libxml2 would also solve the
problem. Anyone know?
Is a xml-declaration honoured by the command line tools and
the backend programs?
When I do a 'cibadmin -Q' in which character encoding are
the snippets spit out? Are environment variables (e.g. LANG)
honoured?
As cibadmin -Q does not give a xml-declaration does this mean
all output is UTF-8 encoded?
Best regards
