I have an active/passive nagios setup with an master/master mysql backend and a VIP between them thats controlled by heartbeat, all this works fine.

When the IP failsover to the passive node so that it becomes the primary is there a way for this to trigger a start of the nagios deamon on that box and equally bring it down when it goes back to being the passive member? I am sure there is but i cant seem to find the correct commands/config.

This is heartbeat-2.0.4-1 on RHEL4

OK seems i posted slightly early - i now have the nagios deamon being started/stopped by the heartbeat module by putting the following in haresources

nagios01 IPaddr::192.168.12.190 nagios

now i see others doing something like

nagios01 192.168.12.190/24/eth0 nagios

Can i ask what the difference in the 2 is bearing in mine mine uses the former syntax and appears to work

thanks
