As far as I recall SCSI-reservations work with fibrechannel as well, as it 
is more or less SCSI via Fiberoptics (mostly, copper as well inside 
enclosures for instance). At least Steeleye LifeKeeper, which we also have 
in use on some installations, uses SCSI-reservations for shared storages. 
It is a bit tricky though, not all vendors have implemented the SCSI 
reservation in a correct manner. The SCSI-RAID adapters in some older Dell 
servers for instance do not work with SCSI reservations and are therefore 
not supported by LifeKeeper. I guess we would run into similar problems if 
this is implemented in heartbeat, though it is an interesting approach.
The other way for shared storages is EVMS I guess.
