Hello list members, I have a bunch of servers running Linux HA 2.1.3 using a simple version 1 configuration with a 2 node cluster with a shared IP address managed using the IPaddr2 resource script.
I was wondering if it is possible to perform a live upgrade to a version 2 CRM-based configuration, perhaps by upgrading the standby server using the haresources2cib.py script on the standby server and restarting Linux HA with "crm yes" in the ha.cf file and the generated cib.xml put into place. The IPaddr2 resource could then be migrated from the version 1 node to the version 2 node and the same process repeated on the version 2 server. Is this at all possible? It seems the underlying communication framework provided by heartbeat is the same for both types of clusters, but I'm sure the difficulty is in getting the two configurations to understand the attribute-value pairs encapsulated in the cluster messaging. Thanks in advance for your help!
