to have "dopd" work at all, you need drbd 8.
to have "dopd" work "as intended" (reliably),
you need DRBD 8.0.12, resp. 8.2.6 or later,
and make sure that your heartbeat version contains this dopd fix:
Revision: 11846 (that is heartbeat hg dev repo)

SLES 10 SP2 includes it.
