I have Ubuntu 8.04 packages if you need them. Heartbeat 2.1.3 and
Pacemaker 0.6.5.
They work fine for me, YMMV.

Hi Ben,
heartbeat from Ubuntu 8.04 is a bit broken after all.
There are still several bashism in shell scripts which definately
will occur as Ubuntu usues dash for /bin/sh
The relationship heartbeat <-> pacemaker:
Pacemaker is a set of original heartbeat code which has been
splitted into an extra package to have generic cluster support.
Unfortunatelly heartbeat-2.1.3 still includes this code which will
result in file conflicts if you are using dpkg
Currently I'm also building up a heartbeat cluster on ubuntu - if
you join IRC when can talk about :)

I'm running Heartbeat 2.1.3 on Ubuntu 8.04. I'm puzzled by the
relationship between CRMv2 and Pacemaker. It sounds like Pacemaker
is
the v2 CRM from Heartbeat 2.1.3. Is that correct?
While reading this document:
http://www.linux-ha.org/DRBD/HowTov2
I encountered the line that indicates I need Pacemaker 0.6.3 or
better
to use the OCF version of the DRBD script. If I'm running the CRM
from 2.1.3, do I meet that requirement? Or do I need to manually
build a stripped down heartbeat and Pacemaker?
Thanks!
