Hi,

in preparation for 3.0.0, which is bound to happen eventually when it is
ready, I am happy to announce 2.99.0 as a _beta_ version.

2.99.0 introduces significant changes:

- 2.99.0 removes code now maintained outside heartbeat such as the CRM
(now Pacemaker), thus everything which depends on it as well. It
removes some dead code. 2.99.0 should retain all v1 functionality,
but that code is depreciated and not maintained!

- 2.99.0 restructures the package layout. We reserve the right to
restructure it some more before the official 3.0.0 release.

- If you want to run 2.99.0 in a Pacemaker ("crm yes") environment, you
will need to install Pacemaker. This is the recommended approach.

You can retrieve the code from
http://hg.linux-ha.org/dev/archive/beta-2.99.0.tar.bz2

Binary packages are available at
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:/ha-clustering:/UNSTABLE/

There are likely to be some problems with the new package layout, or
build issues on various distributions. Remember this is the first
beta.

Please direct all feedback regarding these packages to the linux-ha-dev
list.

Regards,
    Lars
