Well, I've upped the ping-response time and it seems to have mostly gone 
away.  Only 1 occurrence in the last 8 hours.

  ping-timeout 20;
  }


Still don't quite understand why it should take 2+ seconds (if I read 
the docs correctly) for a ping to make a round trip on a bonded 
dual-gigabit network.  It can't even be dhcp as all the addresses are 
hard coded and the only thing on bond0 is drbd...

Oh well, it works for now.  :-)

Unless it hits when drbd is trying to update the mirror?  Could it be 
saturation of the link?
