I can't get heartbeat to start dovecot (the imap server). Dovecot runs
fine when its started manually, but complains as follows when its
started by heartbeat:

Fatal: epoll_create(): Too many open files (you may need to increase
/proc/sys/fs/epoll/max_user_instances)

Though my kernel doesn't have /proc/sys/fs/epoll/max_user_instances (its
2.6.30.9).

There is suspicion of the dovecot side of things that heartbeat is
leaking file handles to dovecot.

This is on a debian etch box running heartbeat 1.2.5.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd really like to get this
resolved.

Thanks,
John
