Hi I have a question about Ideal monitor and stop/start timeout in Heartbeat. I have HA solution for openLDAP server, havin slapd resource running on 2 Servers and IPAddr (Vritual IP Addr) resource on any one server.
I have seen that, Sometime, monitor operation takes about 8 secs to and slapd stop also times out in 20 seconds. results into, slapd resource goes in to "Unmanaged" state and complete outage, when it happen on both server. What should be the ideal value of Monitor opeation, when monitor operation goes upto 8-9 seconds on loaded environment. And what should be the ideal value of stop/start timeout value, when stop operation takes 15 secs on loaded environment. I am sorry, emailing you direct, It was an emergency kind of situation, so could not post it to mail-list, will post entire thread. Please, Suggest.
