Is there a better document for getting a noob started with
Pacemaker+Corosync? I've been going through the "Cluster from Scratch"
document, and starting on page xv, nothing works as documented. I
installed with 'yum install pacemaker', edited my corosync.conf file on
both nodes and successfully started corosync on both nodes (after
working around the 'consensus: 1201' bug), but:
1. the log messages look nothing like what the documentation states that
I should be seeing. Following is all I'm seeing. Nothing about the
Executive Service, CLM, CPG, or what have you.
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [MAIN ] Corosync Cluster Engine ('1.2.0'):
started and ready to provide service.
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [MAIN ] Corosync built-in features: nss rdma
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [MAIN ] Successfully read main configuration
file '/etc/corosync/corosync.conf'.
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [TOTEM ] Initializing transport (UDP/IP).
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [TOTEM ] Initializing transmit/receive
security: libtomcrypt SOBER128/SHA1HMAC (mode 0).
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [MAIN ] Compatibility mode set to whitetank.
Using V1 and V2 of the synchronization engine.
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [TOTEM ] The network interface [192.168.10.76]
is now up.
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [SERV ] Service engine loaded: corosync
extended virtual synchrony service
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [SERV ] Service engine loaded: corosync
configuration service
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [SERV ] Service engine loaded: corosync
cluster closed process group service v1.01
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [SERV ] Service engine loaded: corosync
cluster config database access v1.01
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [SERV ] Service engine loaded: corosync
profile loading service
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [SERV ] Service engine loaded: corosync
cluster quorum service v0.1
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [TOTEM ] A processor joined or left the
membership and a new membership was formed.
Mar 13 09:19:50 corosync [MAIN ] Completed service synchronization,
ready to provide service.
2. There are no heartbeat processes running as the docs indicate there
should be.
3. When I type 'crm_mon' it says, "Attempting connection to the
cluster..." and eventually times out.
I'm hoping to get this cluster running over the weekend, so any input
from those of you who check your messages on Satrurday and Sunday would
be great!
