but... if that turns out to be the best answer, three questions: 1. Anybody have a sense of how well this works in practice, on Lenny? 2. Can you be a little more specific about the steps involved (I've never assembled a backport before). 3. Any thoughts on whether it would be easier to simply download the latest tarballs, and ./configure, make, make install? Thanks!
