Hi!

Thanks for answering. However there's one thing I don't understand:

But don't I have to protect each shared block device idividually? If I have a
shared storage providing several virtual disks for a cluster, how does it help
if one node exclusively accesses one virtual disk, while the cluster
arbitrarily accesses the rest of the virtual disks? I thought SFEX is using the
SCSI reservation mechanism to assign disks on a LUN base. That is, any
partition of one LUN ca nonly be accesses by one node. Did I misunderstand?

I just want to make sure that no two nodes will assemble the same RAID. Can you
explain your idea in some more detail?

That might work as long as no node tried to access the other leg of the raid.

Ulrich
