Hi! I thought that an "unmanaged" resource would not mess wit hthe resources, but as it seems, the RAID1 monitor does auto-recovery even in unmanaged mode. In effect it re-added a LUN that was manually failed and removed using mdadm while it was in a bad state (it had been shrunk) without resynchronizing the content. After the LUN had ist original size again (and thus random data), there was no resync, because the disk already was part of the RAID.
To shorten the story: The RAID not has corrupted data (damaged filesystems) now. Did I do the wrong thing, or did the autheor of the RA not consider "unmanaged" mode? mdadm could be more careful also, of course.
