pactor and older tx

hello everybody;

i  want to test pactor on hf but i don't know if older transceiver like
FT277 are good
to work with this mode.
I remember my first test in amtor with a pk232 and i was afraid when
i've heard
my antenna relay.
Do you know if the relay work more than 300 bds packet trafic in pactor
like amtor
and if this mode is not dangerous for a antenna relay ?
Do you think pactor-II usefull with my ft277 ???
