The protocol sucks. NEDA has spent years figuring out to shoehorn the protocol
into a kind of complicated digipeater, but I don't think that is a good idea.
The purpose of a real network protocol is to create the illusion that two
machines actually connected by a chain of links appear to be connected
directly. As illusions go, NEDA's is singularly unconvincing.
