I wouldn't say freaky coding, just very heavy wizardry. Being a TSR, it can't call any
system
services and has to do a lot of work by hand. The code is very heavy going and not well
commented.
What was amazing was when John got a bug report, he would go to the right line in the
right
source file and start coding.
