Has anyone successfully ran a DOS or Win application in dosemu or wine for SSTV? I keep hearing rumours that SSTV apps are in the works, but haven't seen any yet. BTW if you have two soundcards it is possible to use one for things like ACFAX or ax.25 and the other for normal sound operation. For ACFAX to work on the SECOND card in sblaster.h change the DSP and MIXER defines to: #define DSPDEV "/dev/dsp1" #define MIXDEV "/dev/mixer" And compile as usual. I've tried getting similar configurations to run under DOS/Win and almost always have some crashes. With Linux, this is stable and quite felxible. I'm using kernel 2.0.36 with K6-2/300. The sound cards are a SB16 PnP and a (jumpered!) SB32 AWE. FYI my snsdstat looks like this: Sound Driver:3.5.4-960630 Installed drivers: Type 1: OPL-2/OPL-3 FM Type 2: Sound Blaster Type 7: SB MPU-401 Card config: Sound Blaster at 0x220 irq 5 drq 1,5 Sound Blaster at 0x240 irq 10 drq 0,6 SB MPU-401 at 0x330 irq 10 OPL-2/OPL-3 FM at 0x388 drq 0 Audio devices: 0: Sound Blaster 16 (4.13) 1: Sound Blaster 16 (4.13) Synth devices: 0: Yamaha OPL-3 Midi devices: 0: Sound Blaster 16 Timers: 0: System clock Mixers: 0: Sound Blaster 1: Sound Blaster ------------------------------- James S.
