Hi Benoit, you are exactly correct. I did a lot of checking and found that
telnet worked fine since that uses .in.telnetd, but tcpd is looking for
.in.ftp so then I checked my cd-rom and there it was! I did an install and
it didn't complain it was already installed! Did this to both computer's
and they now both talk to each other.

Thank you so very much. I will complain to Red Hat that this error is a
real pain...hi
