A lot bug's (reported by me) are smashed in the 2.1.132 kernel

How did you disable maxdefer ?
Perhaps set to 0 ?? (I didn't find anything about disabling it..)

Perhaps you would send me your z8530 config file, zo i can have a look.
(No promises, but ...)

I'm running with a z8530 card now with 3 active modems (grouped), and
after those fixed bugs, i'm almost competely happy :)

Argh!  All right, so how am I supposed to work with Linux when
everything's already been done?!  Can't these people leave some
broken MSDOS like parts so there's problems left to solve!?....
