Lnxforward (called fbbforward during early testing) is not an end user BBS
either. It allows forwarding
between an FBB bbs and a linux system. It can then (in conjunction with
Hessu's mailgw system)
interface to nntp/smtp/pop based products (ie just about any mail/news
readers), so giving
end user access. In addition, it has a facility for using a browser (such
as Netscape or IE) to
read/post messages and bulletins.

It can also be used as a forwarding "hub" between a number of FBB style
systems, with full message
routing, bid-checking etc. It's at ftp://ictoan.apana.org.au/pub, but I'll
be puttiing a new version (1.20)
there in the next few days, with some minor enhancements.

Bob Meyer, KO6RI is also developing a full-function web based BBS. Its at
http://ko6ri.ampr.org/ and
you can try it out.
