Thanks anyway. I found the problem.
If the "file" /proc/sys/net/ax25/<interface>/connect_mode has a value of
1 it connects and sends info but ignores the frames arriving for that
connection.
The value that puts it to work is 2, the default.
This small "feature" is not documented in AX-25 HOWTO.
