Hi Andrew,
        Thanks for the URL's and I will visit them soon. The advice to use
a simple list and grep is well taken but not what I'm looking for. I want
to put up really big files of stock data and be able to compare factors
between stocks. This is done in Orical by commercial places. I would like
to do it on my humble computer with Linux.
