The issue of offtopic posts (and mr. Larsen's obvious mental illness and
real, original and genuine stupidity) has been discussed on the list
several times during the last three years.

  Please refer to the mailing list archive for in-depth discussion
(http://hes.iki.fi/archive/linux-hams/). May '97 is a good example.
9705/0302.html and 0303.html for starters.

  Ahh. Time for my contribution to the LDP !!

  KARLFILTER-MINI-HOWTO, version 1.0, 25 May 1997

  This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify
  it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by
  the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or (at
  your option) any later version.

 1. Install procmail (ftp.funet.fi:/pub/unix/mail/procmail/, at least
RedHat and Debian have it as a package). RedHat users would do:
rpm -i /cdrom/RedHat/RPMS/procmail* (assuming your RedHat CD-ROM is
mounted on /cdrom, no '-t iso9660' parameter on 'mount' required! 8-)

 2. Place the following text in ~/.procmailrc :

----------
:0 H:
* (.*k5di.*|.*Karl.*|.*Larsen.*)
$HOME/mail/crazy-karl
----------

 3. Place the following line in your ~/.forward :

"| /usr/bin/procmail"

  It might be installed in some other directory as well, like /usr/bin or
/usr/sbin.

  The .procmailrc recipe above makes Karl's messages go to the file
~/mail/crazy-karl, if you like to have a good laughter from time
to time, you can read it before deleting it 8-)

  For more information, check out 'man procmailrc' and 'man procmail'.
Don't touch any book.

(Credits for Kaj Wiik <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, who recently posted a similar
filter on the fin-ham mailing list for filtering Markus Meder's
mails 8-)

#include <stddisclaimer.h>

PS. Terry, perhaps you could include the above information in the
    AX25-HOWTO and/or ax25-utils? 8-]
