I am trying to upgrade a recently installed Slackware 3.6 system to
the new 2.2.1 Kernel. I have read the stuff in http://www.linuxhq.com/
about required utility upgrades and downloaded all of the necessary
packages...
sh-utils-1.16
modutils-2.1.121
ppp-2.3.5
setserial-2.15
tunelp
procps-1.2.9
psmisc
procinfo-16
ipmasqadm-0.4.2
glibc-2.0.7pre6
xosview-1.6.1
net-tools-1.49
util-linux-2.9h
ld.so-1.9.9
However I have been unsuccessful at getting clean make of ...
glibc-2.0.7pre6
xosview-1.6.1
net-tools-1.49
util-linux-2.9h
I have been reading all sorts of documentation yet I am still not
clear about this libc and glibc issue. Everything I read seems
to be oriented towards someone who already knows what they are talking
about.
I had no trouble making the new 2.2.1 Kernel but need to get the rest
of the utilities compiled before I can try it.
Has anyone else had trouble making the packages above?
