Hello all,
I have a problem making forward between a DOS box running FBB 7.00
and a JNOS 1.11 running under Linux.
The setup is:
DOS: running PC/Flexnet and FBB, using an ethernet and G8BPQ's
AX.25 over IEEE 802 protocol.
DOS #2:Running PC/Flexnet with ethernet card and tnc, scc boards
to connect with the radio.
Linux: Redhat 5.2, 2.0.36 kernel. axutils from RPM, JNOS 1.11b.
The kernel has a port bpq0 that talk ovet the ethernet to the outside
world, an an intelnal KISS port to talk with jnos in ax.25 and
ip over ax.25
JNOS is launched at startup, then to connect it from FBB I have
tried:
- connect it via the node program, and then FBB soon as it is connected
sends the connection string, and the node program
looses it.
- set an alias into /etc/ax.25/ax25d.conf

[YLMNOS via flx]
I1YLM-8 * * * * * * - i1ylm /usr/sbin/call call -r link I1YLM-11
#8 is FBB 11 is JNOS

Then, if I connect manually, all runs fine, the call program respond with
his connecting prompt, then connects to jnos and then JNOS answers with
his [JNOS-1.11-...] prompt and a > sign.

If I launch the forward from FBB, all stops at the
GW4PTS AX.25 Connect v1.11Trying... prompt on fbb side (note the lack of
line feed), but JNOS and linux has just sent the hello string.

Next try.

I tried to start forwarding from JNOS. I modified JNOS to use my
callsign and set myself as a BBS on FBB. The connection started
from jnos goes fine but when it sends the [JNOS...] hello
string FBB goes upset, saying thatd it doesn't know the command.

Any clue? I prefer an FBB initiated forward session anyway.
