Hello All
The next beta of mtrack 0.2 ... is almost available.
Unfortunately the person who runs the FTP site where I put mtrack is on a
course this week and I have no access to the machine :-(
So if anyone wants a copy of the patch file (8K compressed), drop me a
line and I will send them a copy via email. As soon as I have access to
the FTP site then the proper .gz and .bz2 files will be put up. Of course
if you want the full distribution, also drop me a line, but it'll be
rather big.
The changes with this version are that all the configuration files are now
text based, the state of the current track is stored (satellite, map) as
well as the current colours, when the program is ended. Individuals other
than root have their own configuration files, falling back to the global
configuration file is one isn't available.
Longitudes are now negative for west.
The program dataconv has been upgraded to allow for the conversion of old
style binary data files to text based files for those who need it.
In terms of code changes, this represents a bigger change than converting
from Motif to GTK. Therefore testing is wanted. This *will* be the basis
of the proper 0.20 release.
