For those of you who are watching in the wings...I finally got the PackeTwin interface utility working. I have Port A setup as interupt mode RS-232 and Port B is setup as DMA 3 mode RS-422 (which drives a Grapes WA4DSY 56k packet modem). The Linux box is RedHat 6.0 v2.2.5-15 kernel. Currently I am using interupt 2/9 for the interface card. Upon bootup both ports dmascc0 and dmascc1 are initialized. I compiled a new kernel with the Amateur Radio, High speed interface support [*]. Unpack the dmascc utility: tar xfz dmascc_cfg-0.7.tar.gz cd dmascc_cfg and run 'make' and then 'make install' To set the port attributes run 'dmascc_cfg dmascc(0/1) --[command] Thats all there is too it. Thank you too Mr. Klaus Kudielka for his patience. i.e. dmascc_cfg dmascc1 --speed 56000 #sets the speed to 56k i.e. dmascc_cfg dmascc1 --show #show port settings In my case the --show command stated that my port speed was 56888.89 ? 73, John AA6QN
