I have been working with this setup for some time now and hit a dead end
on a couple of things and could use some guidance.
First off, I can not get the '/usr/sbin/ node node' to run from any
outside login (via packet). I can get the node to run while telnet'ing
to the port 3694 from the command prompt from both the console and
axspawn. I have tried both the standard <netrom> and tried the
mini-howto <netnod>. I have checked permissions and ownership of the
node application and insured that the inetd.conf was correct. I have
also made sure the (callsign -ssid) was unique. Netrom connect does work
from another netrom node.
Second, while trying to load loopbacks, I get the error: "net2kiss uses
obsolete (PF_INET,SOCK_PACKET)". I finally figured that by adding the
line: "Alias BBS "telnet %{2:(ip address of tnos)}" And everything
works just fine. I would like to find out why net2kiss does not work
though.
