Hi out there,
I just checked the addresses Karl mentioned in his posting. The things sound
quite interesting but I think for the price of abt. 500$ it should be
possible to build a web based tnc from scratch.
Just one more opinion about USB or Ethernet: I would absolutely prefer
Ethernet as e.g. even my old 486 has an Ethernet card (NE2000) in it while
only my new computer (which I definitely do not intend to use for amateur
radio) is supplied with USB. Sorry but for Hobby usage and esp. Amateur Radio
where old computer material is often used to build an amateur radio server I
can not recommend USB. It even sounds a bit like MS behaviour: Buy the
latest, fastest computer available to use my stuff. Ethernet IS standard and
will be for quite a while...
