ax25-rpm and ax25..tar.gz

hallo
i have compille new kernel with version 2.0.36
and i run ax25 in my kernel, and i reboot my pc.
then i boot with my new kernel.

i try to install ax25-utils-2.1.42a.tar.gz but it's not success 
install it. and then i try to use ax25-utils...rpm
and i have successfull install it, but i can't found ax25 file
configuration in /etc/ax25 directory.
in directory /etc/ax25 i am not found any file.

where can i find file conf for my ax25? when using ax25-utils...rpm
